As a ride on the back of a motorcycle was on my bucket list for a long time… The chance came along. Even if it was not on a Harley-Davidson, I took this opportunity.

It was the guy who I see for over 7 months to get my stockings. I have tried so many stockings. The ones I need don’t stay in place. I always send him pictures of how silly these stockings look like when they come down. That’s when he started joking about we had to test them on the back of his motorcycle.

Before the ride, I took a long sleep to be fit enough. We made a little ride from The Hague to Wassenaar. We drank a cup of coffee and went back. I really enjoyed the ride and was a bit sad it was over so soon. On the other hand, it was good because of my lack of energy. I needed to sleep afterwards, and I knew it had been too much. The ride did me good; I felt happy and alive again. I love those moments of happiness.

For a woman who was able to drive to Paris and back in one day, it’s unimaginable that a motor ride this short is exhausting. Small things that seemed insignificant before became great moments I’m thankful for.
