I went to my physiotherapist for the first time on June 18th for an intake and after that on a weekly basis. I noticed changes in the things I was able to do. My ankle always needed rest after the exercises, it wasn’t painless. But the steps I made were huge for the place I came from. I got exercises for my ankle and shoulder.

She gave me exercises in an app called PhysiApp. Because I installed it on my phone, I could do the exercises outside during my walk. The app also provides little films with instructions besides the written instructions. And a possibility to make notes. I liked working with this app.

At the end of June, a lost friend of mine came back into my life. He took me walking in different areas. It was nice to be outside again, enjoying nature. For me, this was great, not to worry about how I would get back home after a walk. He went through trouble at his job, too, so we supported each other. So good for me to have this friend helping me in making my world bigger again. Everywhere I went, I went with my stocking and brace. The crutches I left home. Because when I was with my friend, I was with somebody who could help if it went wrong. Step by step, I learned to trust my body again.
