After the holiday with my daughter, she went to go on holiday with her father. My friend and I went to France to go camping and biking. He drove the car, so I didn’t need to worry about that.

The first bike ride was from our campsite at Chamboef. It was hot outside, and I couldn’t control my warmth. Me wearing short hair and cooling myself with water didn’t manage to lose the warmth. Biking in the woods was a bit better. It was heavy, I still wasn’t back in shape, and my stamina was bad. I didn’t manage to get uphill to the campsite. So my friend biked back to the campsite and got the car to pick me up.

The rest of the day and the next day, I had to take it easy. We went swimming because that helped loosen up my ankle. We explored the area by car, looking for a place to eat. We didn’t find anything, not even a bakery, supermarket or an ice-cream. The pizzeria at the campsite was the only possibility to get something to eat. We ate pizza accompanied with the veggies we bought on our way to this campsite. We played ping-pong at the campsite, after dinner.

After two nights we left the campsite to drive more southwards. We stopped several times. We visited the winery museum in Baune and went to the tourist information shop to get bike routes. We drove further south after visiting Baune and found a campsite in Santenay.

My friend planned the routes to bike, I could manage to finish without too much trouble. The first was through fields with grapes. I enjoyed the weather and nature. I managed to get back to the campsite this time. A victory for me!
