Our first cycling holiday started on Sunday, Juli 19th. Our bikes were checked and repaired where necessary. Our bags were packed and adjusted on our bikes. With stocking and brace, meds and CoaguChek, openminded and prepared, I went on this trip.

My daughter had trouble getting on her bike, she was a bit frightened. Her friends, who were around for days, came to her to encourage her to get on the bike. She managed. When we left our neighbors and my daughter’s friends were there to wish us a great holiday and wave us goodbye.

Our first stop would be her father’s home. A bike ride from six kilometers, a nice point to take a little break. She took the things she had forgotten and we ate something.

After that stop, we continued our ride. I told her the numbers that she needed to look for, and we found our way. We made several stops before we arrived at our destination.

Because I booked late, we got different places each night. We would only stay for two nights. Me, injured and traveling with my nine-year-old daughter by bike, didn’t change that. The spot for the first night wasn’t horizontal and far away from electricity, so we went to the second nightspot. It was taken, but there was a little spot just big enough for our small tent and bikes between the spots. That became our spot for two nights, and we managed without electricity.
