On September 26th, 2020, I bought my first reading glasses. For a month, I experienced a difference in my visual experience. I always had a very sharp view.
Eleven years ago, I had to get a doctor’s examination and report for diving because I wanted to get my PADI. He said my view was 200%. I saw more than my former husband, who had a correction with lenses and glasses up to 100%. My sight hadn’t changed since that time.
For me, it started at the end of the summer with a blurry sight when I woke up. I wasn’t able to read the time on my mobile phone. My view stayed blurry, and it didn’t stop, so I got my eyes tested. My sight was 100%, and my reading sight +1,0 for both eyes.
When I told my GP about it, she told me it was my age. It’s normal at the age of 44, and I accepted it, although I found it strange that my sight decreased from 200% to 100%.
Months later, when I joined the FaceBook groups, I read posts from other Covid-19 fellow sufferers and Covid-19 Longhaulers. There are many more who are having eye vision problems after or during having Covid-19. It makes me wonder what this crazy virus is damaging in my body.
